Dirk Fischer (*1970) started his career after studying mechanical engineering at the Berufsakademie Heidenheim as a production engineer at Gebr. Binder GmbH and worked as plant manager, COO and managing director at various international automotive suppliers (including TI Automotive, SAS Automotive and SAM Automotive). At Huf, he has acted as advisor in the realignment of the global production network and industrial engineering.
As COO, he is responsible for Quality Management, Global Operations, Product Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Launch Management & Huf Production System, Operations Strategy & Performance, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.
On December 20, 2024, Huf has announced that the company's shareholders have signed a legally binding agreement with the Portuguese automotive supplier Sodecia setting the foundation for a long-term partnership (see Huf Newsroom). In addition to his position as CEO of Sodecia, Rui Monteiro will become the CEO of Huf after closing of the transaction in 2025 and manage the company together with COO Dirk Fischer and CFO Rainer Heupel. Starting from January 1, 2025, until closing, Dirk Fischer is in charge as CEO.
