“Well then, I’m off for now”, was the slogan of Bianca Gemeinder and Yvonne Frommelt, who completed a three-month internship at Huf UK as part of their training as an industrial clerk EU. The two apprentices are in their second year of apprenticeship and, in addition to the normal area of responsibility, have an international orientation with the aim of promoting their foreign language skills and practically deepening them during their stay abroad.
In autumn 2017, the two aspiring merchants started their internship in Tipton. During their time at Huf UK, the apprentices passed through various departments, including purchasing, sales and logistics. The aim of the internship was to achieve the Business Certificate Vantage of the University of Cambridge, a language qualification for international business English, as well as the additional qualification EU of the IHK. It was really a great experience. I never had the feeling that we were just the trainees from Velbert. We took on responsible tasks and were integrated into day-to-day business and projects.
