Timișoara, April 16th, 2024 | Huf, the specialist for secure car access and authorization solutions, inaugurated today the Technical Center Romania Laboratory (TCRL) in Timisoara. The TCRL is the largest testing and validation center of the company worldwide and will provide automotive customers with high quality products. The third location of Huf in Romania is another example for the growth ambitions of the global automotive supplier.
”Huf is pursuing a clear growth strategy: the company aims to reach 2 billion Euros net sales by 2031 – and Huf Romania will play an even more important role to reach this target than ever before”, said Bogdan Nuna, CTO of Huf, today at the new location of the Technical Center Romania Laboratory. “In Timisoara we are already developing the software and electronic products of tomorrow to provide the most innovative car access and authorizations solutions to the automotive industry. With the new TCRL we establish the largest center of testing and validation in the global Huf network of competence centers. It will serve all five Huf sites in Europe – Portugal, Spain, Poland, Germany and Romania – to supply high quality products to our automotive customers.”
“Following our production plant in Arad and the Technical Center in Timisoara, we are now expanding our competencies in Romania with the new TCRL”, said Cristian Enculescu, director of the Huf Technical Center Romania (TCR) and the new TCRL. “In the new laboratory, we concentrate our testing and validation activities to ensure high quality products. In addition, we increase initial testing, design and process validations and strengthen the role of Huf Romania in technological development and innovation.”
Huf inaugurated today in Timisoara, in the presence of local and central administration representatives, academic partners and employees, the new location of the Technical Center Romania Laboratory. The attendees used the chance to discover the modern laboratory at 21 Republicii Street, close to the center of Timișoara. On 1700 square meters Huf has installed top equipment to test and validate products like car door handles but also classical, smart and digital car keys for the automotive industry. The new TCRL is now the largest testing and validation center in the global Huf network. In total, Huf is now running Technical Centers in Germany, Romania, China, Mexico and India.

The new TCRL is the latest example for the rapid growth of Huf Romania S.R.L. Started in 2006 in Arad with the first production plant, Huf opened a Technical Center in Timisoara and moved with the team in December 2019 to the modern offices of the ISHO building. A few weeks ago, this TCR reached the milestone of 300 employees just in Timisoara. In total, Huf employs around 1000 experts in Romania.
The rapid development of the Romanian site reflects the growth of the Huf Group.
